First Impressions: Deadpool

You see, I would add in some sort of subtitle, but for a character like this, and a movie like this... How? What would it be?

So anyway, the Deadpool trailer came out, so its about high time to look at it.

What exactly do you want me to say about this? There's nothing here. While I do think the references are hilarious, and the fact that they're willing to take a stab at themselves for what they did to the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (to the point that I genuinely had no idea he was supposed to be Deadpool in that movie). There isn't much to talk about in this trailer... except that its a trailer for another trailer, which is probably the one you want me to talk about... well with the trailer for the trailer out of the way, let's talk about the trailer that the trailer was talking about in the trailer for the trailer. (yes I intentionally made this meta and confusing).

First, let's cover the Greenband trailer.

Oh don't worry, I'm not ignoring the Redband trailer, pacing people.

While you can tell this has been redubed, it still has the theme of Deadpool. But as for the trailer itself, we do get to see a lot, including the known origin of the character, get to see what he's like before the special surgery, and a lot of what he's like as the actual Deadpool. It doesn't show a lot about the plot, in fact it shows nothing about it to anyone who doesn't know the character, all this is for is to do one thing, acknowledge that the team knows what they're doing with the character. I am liking the look of the costume designs though, and it has that standard Marvel feeling to it in terms of cinematography and scripting, and I am genuinely curious about the final product.

Now, those who know the character know that he's a little more... out of control in comparison to other heroes. So a bit of re tooling of the format in terms of saying what I feel about the movie before fully going over the trailers because of this. This movie is going to be R18+, if you are under 18, stop reading now.

Are they gone? Good, now time to look at the Redband Trailer. And as the cut off thumbnail implies, its not suitable for work.
This is why you can tell that this has been re edited, and it looks absolutely hilarious. It's stupid, its crude, its violent, its over the top, its ridiculous, its Deadpool. And I've got to say, full props to that "three dudes with one bullet" shot. But for now, I'll see you all for Thunderbirds next Wednesday.
